The Whole Sun meeting is organized as part of a series of regular meetings that foster collaboration within the Whole Sun project. This year meeting will be hosted in Nice, France. Participation is by invitation only.
The Whole Sun project aims at achieving a comprehensive understanding of the Sun's dynamics and magnetism by integrating research on its interior, surface layers, and atmosphere. This project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) through a Synergy Grant. It is led by a consortium of five European institutions, including the Commissariat for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies (CEA) in France, the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) in Germany, the University of Ioannina in Greece, the University of Oslo in Norway, and the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) in Spain.
